The Cadets pounced first with an early goal and held the Rockets scoreless for the first 35 minutes of the game. Kaillynn Holt finally broke through the Connally defense and crossed to Aubrie Jurek, who scored off a header. The game remained tied for the first half. In the first two minutes of the second half, Theresa Smith beat the Connally keeper and passed to Kali Branch who got the second goal. The same two girls received credit for the third goal. Kennedy Miller scored the final goal off a cross from Kali Branch.

Robinson evened the score within ten minutes and tied it up 1-1. Kali Branch took a free kick from close to 30 yards out and Kennedy Miller buried it in the back of the net. The officials awarded PNG a second PK with 4 minutes left in the game and PNG took the game 2-1.

Robinson capitalized first on two quick goals in the first 20 minutes. Kali Branch took a corner kick from the left side and Aubrie Jurek headed it in. Kali Branch later crossed the ball from the left side of the field and Kailynn Holt picked it up from 20 yards out and put it in the back of the net. However, Killeen Ellison tied it up before the end of the first half. Both teams held each other to zero goals scored in the second half, which led to a shoot-out. Killeen Ellison scored two in the shoot-out, while Robinson only put one in.
